About TMCS
The Malaviyan Chess Society
Founded in 2025 by students of MMMUT Gorakhpur
The Malaviyan Chess Society (TMCS), established in 2025 as a student-driven initiative inspired by the university's tradition of excellence, stands as the official chess body of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur.
Conceived to bridge the classical depth of Chaturanga with modern analytical excellence, the Society promotes chess as both a competitive sport and a cerebral discipline.
Open to all students, TMCS fosters strategic thought, composure under pressure, and ethical play through regular tournaments, lectures, and analytical workshops.
The foundation of this society is supported by the Chess.com Ambassador Program, with our founder currently serving as the official Campus Ambassador for Chess.com at MMMUT, Gorakhpur.
